Two Charged Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident

Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A young child was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.

The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
