Trump's Granddaughter Receives Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut
The rising star has considerable social media audience
Kai Trump can count on plenty of high-profile supporters when she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses several golf courses and often plays against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially told me to go out there and relax," she added.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has played in only three events this year and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she's able to receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's an even better person. He suggested me to compete, relax, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge several most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, including world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence exposes the sport to different demographics, especially with younger fans.
Kai boasts a massive following and recently launched a personal fashion and living label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
