Aryna Sabalenka finished the tour with an impressive twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second consecutive year.

The 27-year-old secured four tournament victories – the most on tour – including successfully defending the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to secure her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Year of Consistency

Across the season, Sabalenka played in a circuit-leading nine finals, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She remained the whole season as the top-ranked player, finishing 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Record-Breaking Statistics

Sabalenka finished the season with a 63-12 win-loss record, and picked up a historic £11m in earnings.

She received almost eighty percent of the votes cast by international tennis media.

On 28 December, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match with the aim of "help bring women's tennis to a greater prominence".
