Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

Well beyond 14 days following the shocking loss of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt prepared to share openly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started passing more hours together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the film, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without laughter".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official ruled to prevent the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order placed a restriction on the files to limit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" connected to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a public database noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Aftermath and Reactions

After the deaths, public individuals expressed different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing provocative claims that were broadly criticized by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the critics last week. Talking on his podcast, Rogan described the comments as "disappointing" and suggested they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by remarking that an aide could have intervened when the choice to speak on the passing was made.
